Fibror 79 is a yellow-coloured variety exclusively bred for yields in fibre. Its key attribute consists in its capacity to reduce straw processing costs. It can be grown in any geographical situation.
For our 2kg sacks, the purchase limit is 5 (10kg).
Seed quality is presented below: the average germination capacity for the past 10 years (taking into account that seed certification standards require at least 75% germination) and the average male purity level for the past 10 years (number of males observed for 100 plants).
Germination capacity :
Type : Monoecious
Level : in Δ9-THC < 0,2%
Fibre Potential : Rich
Late-flowering : full-flowering date
observed on August 22*
(at the Le Mans latitude)
A calendar will remind you of the main stages in the growing cycles at latitudes equal to that of Le Mans.
When growing at latitudes other than that of Le Mans, the production potentials (straw, seed, fibre) and the growing times vary, while the other criteria remain unchanged.
To get the best out of this fibre-rich variety, we recommend sowing at a density of 70-80 kg/ha (that its, between 3 500 000 and 4 000 000 plants/ha). This variety is naturally yellow. Avoid nitrogen inputs to compensate for this characteristic so as not to offset the genetic impact. For optimal fibre quality, we recommend a harvest between the full-flowering and end-flowering phases, including in more northern zones.
Multifunctional, this variety can be used for several applications:
Fibre markets : plastic processes, insulation, textile
Shives markets : construction, mulching, bedding
